Fresh off a successful original programming summer, Bravo announced Wednesday
that it will launch a six-part game show/series around poker-playing celebrities
Celebrity Poker Showdown will feature 25 celebrities competing against
each other in a poker tournament. Each week, five stars will take to the table
to challenge their peers. The winner from each week’s game will go on to compete
in the championship final episode, Bravo executives said.
Celebrities expected to take part in the series include Matthew Perry and
David Schwimmer (Friends);Emily Procter (CSI: Miami);
rapper/actor Coolio; and Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, John
Spencer and Richard Schiff (The West Wing).
