Bravo, PlanetOut Go Broadband

Bravo and PlanetOut Inc. are teaming up to launch OutzoneTV.com, which they called the first broadband channel specifically targeted to gay and lesbian online viewers.

The new service, set to launch in March, joins TRIO Plus (www.trioplus.tv/plus) and BrilliantButCancelled.com (www.trioplus.tv/plus/ez_streets/index.htm) in Bravo's broadband suite.

Bravo will host, manage and program OutZoneTV.com. PlanetOut will be the exclusive provider of advertising services for the service, and it will supply promotional and editorial support through its network of Web sites including Gay.com (www.gay.com) and PlanetOut.com (www.planetout.com), the companies said.

“Bravo has been extremely successful with reaching gay viewers through high-quality, ground-breaking programming that resonates," Bravo president Lauren Zalaznick said in a prepared statement. "Our strategic partnership with PlanetOut in the broadband space, with their additional expertise, is going to make OutzoneTV.com a huge success.”
