Net2Phone Inc. will provide Bresnan Communications subscribers with voice-over-Internet-protocol service under a deal announced Monday.
The MSO has also enrolled in Net2Phone's warrant-incentive program, under which operators earn warrant grants to purchase shares of Net2Phone common stock, which become exercisable as the operator reaches target telephony-subscriber levels.
"We are eagerly anticipating the launch of our digital-phone service alongside our video and data products," Bresnan senior vice president of advanced services Lenny Higgins said in a prepared statement.
"Net2Phone is clearly the right company to help accelerate our rollout while providing our customers with an end-to-end managed-telephony solution,” he added.
Bresnan is the country’s No. 13 MSO, with more than500,000 homes passed.
