BlueHighways TV, which explores the traditions and cultures of America, is launching a video-on-demand service on select Bresnan Communications systems in August, officials said Tuesday.
The network also said it has signed a multiyear agreement with TVN Entertainment Corp., which will be its preferred partner for VOD services. Under the deal, TVN has contracted to provide a suite of services, including encoding, distribution and asset management.
BlueHighways’ VOD platform will have 20 hours of programming, with the lineup refreshed each month.
Bresnan will roll out BlueHighways’ VOD service as early as Aug. 7 in Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyo.; Grand Junction, Colo.; and Helena, Billings and Kalispell, Mont.
The MSO will also make the VOD service available at a later date in Casper and Gillette, Wyo.; Bozeman, Missoula and Great Falls, Mont.; and Montrose, Durango and Canon City, Colo.
