Bressler Named Viacom CFO

It didn't take long for Richard Bressler to land.

As expected, Bressler -- the former head of investments at AOL Time Warner
Inc. who announced his resignation late last week -- has been named chief
financial officer at Viacom Inc., the company announced. Bressler succeeds
Frederic Reynolds, who has been tapped as president of the CBS Television
Stations division.

In his new job beginning May 1, Bressler will report directly to Viacom
president and chief operating officer Mel Karmazin and be responsible for
managing corporate strategic and financial functions.

Bressler had been CFO of Time Warner Inc., leading its digital-media unit
before the company's merger with America Online Inc. was completed in
January.

After the union, Bressler headed AOL Time Warner Investment Corp., a unit
that made strategic equity investments and provided venture capital to companies
relevant to AOL Time Warner's operating businesses.

AOL Time Warner vice chairman Kenneth Novack has assumed Bressler's duties in
the interim, according to a company spokesman.

For his part, Reynolds will oversee CBS' 35 television stations, which
together reach 41 percent of the United States and include six major-market
duopolies. He will report to CBS Television Group chairman and CEO Leslie
Moonves.
