Speed’s ‘Intersections’
Contrasts Fast Machines

CHARLOTTE, N.C.
— Speed is
adding Intersections, a show
that compares and contrasts
two seemingly different speed
machines and looks at the
people who operate them, as
a summer
original. The
13-episode
series kicks
off July 21 at
10 p.m. ET.

Episode One features seventime
NHRA Top Fuel champion
Tony Schumacher and his U.S.
Army-sponsored, 8,000-horsepower
hot rod along with Lt.
Aaron Ochalek and his U.S.
Navy F/A-18 fighter jet. The
show combines interviews,
behind-the-scenes footage, 3D
graphics and super-slow-motion
photography.

“The human face of technology;
that’s what this show
is really about,” Speed VP of
programming and executive
producer Robert Ecker said in
a statement.

Speed’s summer lineup includes
the return of grassroots
drag-racing series Pinks All Out
(July 22), new motorcycle series
Stealth Rider (July 20) and
performance-focused Battle of
the Supercars (July 22).
