Court TV to Convene 'L&O' Spinoff 'Jury'

New YorkCourt TV has acquired the rights to 13 episodes of NBC's failed Law & Order offshoot series, Trial by Jury.

Beginning in December, Court TV will air 12 episodes of the short-lived skein initially telecast by NBC last season, as well as one never-before-seen show, according to network executives.

Tuesdays to Become Bravo's 'Party' Time

New YorkBravo will debut the eight-episode one-hour series Party/Party Tuesday, beginning Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).

The series will follow the lives of 16 diverse families who put in major amounts of time, energy and money into the planning and preparation of outrageous parties, according to network officials.

Charter Sets Off With BlueHighways

Hendersonville, Tenn.BlueHighways TV and Charter Communications Inc. have reached an affiliation agreement making the country lifestyle network available on the MSO's digital tier.

Executives at Charter noted that it could begin rolling out BlueHighways' free video-on- demand service to its headends as soon as the first quarter of 2006, with linear service expected to follow.

The network currently offers a total of 20 hours of on-demand programming, refreshed each month.

WE, Supermodel Plan Reality Series

New York— Rachel Hunter is going to show off a new look for WE: Women's Entertainment in the New Year.

WE will debut the eight-part reality series Style Me With Rachel Hunter, beginning Jan. 20 at 10 p.m.

The show, which has signed L'Oréal Paris and Payless ShoeSource have as its official sponsors, will feature a dozen stylists competing for the opportunity to style the model and actress for a red-carpet appearance.

As part of their deal, both companies will run 30-second commercials in the show and gain additional exposure via tune-in spots and on-air billboards.

Strong Debut for Disney's 'Einsteins'

Burbank, Calif. — The little ones and their parents turned up in a big way for the premiere of Disney Channel's new preschool series Little Einsteins.

The show's Oct. 9 debut at 7 p.m. delivered 2.4 million total viewers, more than any other “Playhouse Disney” series premiere. Attracting some 737,000 kids 2 to 5, it was also the program block's highest-rated primetime event in five years in that target demo, according to Disney Channel officials.

Building on its Monsters Inc. lead-in, the debut ranked first that day among all cable and broadcast outlets among kids 2 to 5, as well as boys and girls of that age group.

Little Einsteins — which regularly airs weekdays at 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. — features four music-loving protagonists, Leo, Annie, Quincy and June, as well as their versatile pal Rocket. They introduce kids to different lands and cultures. Produced by Curious Pictures, the series blends live-action images with two-dimensional character animation.

RCN Rolls Out Q Network In the Windy City

ChicagoRCN Corp. will launch Q Television Network on its system here Oct. 17.

The network, targeted at the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual community, will be slotted onto channel 270, according to the distributor.
