E! Lets 'Simple Life' Go on for Paris, Nicole

Los Angeles — Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie will reunite on E! Entertainment Television in 2006.

The network has acquired the rights to The Simple Life, including 10 all-new episodes to debut next spring under the banner The Simple Life: Till Death Do Us Part. The deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television, terms of which were not disclosed, also gives E! the syndicated rights to 36 installments that have already aired. Those installments will bow next month.

The Simple Life, which debuted on Dec. 2, 2003, ran for three seasons on Fox. The broadcast network said in October that it did not have room for a fourth season of the show, paving the way for Twentieth Century Fox-Television to shop it to other networks.

Published reports put the deal in the $700,000 to $800,000 per episode range.
