Web video syndicator Brightcove is expected to announce distribution partnerships with five social-networking sites—Bebo, Meebo, RockYou, Slide and Veoh—which reach a combined audience of more than 300 million monthly users.
Through the deals, Brightcove customers will be able to make their video content available to be viewed on Bebo and Veoh channels, shared through viral widgets from RockYou and Slide on Facebook and MySpace and included in instant messages on Meebo.
“Our distribution partners represent the fastest-growing segments of the social Web and hold enormous potential for our media customers to grow online audiences and scale their advertising inventory,” Brightcove CEO Jeremy Allaire said, in a statement.
Brightcove’s Internet TV services allow media publishers to program, distribute and manage advertising for video on the Web. Its customers include A&E Television Networks, Discovery Communications, Fox, CBS, HBO, Showtime Networks, Starz Media, Rainbow Media and The Weather Channel.
