Broadband Everywhere Forms Hispanic Task Force

Broadband Everywhere is thinking bilingual.

The group -- which described itself as “a bipartisan organization devoted to promoting the broadest deployment of competitive broadband networks” -- said the 20 Hispanic small-business leaders on its new Hispanic Entrepreneurs Task Force will “advise coalition members and lawmakers on the importance of public policies that ensure that broadband and video technologies are deployed quickly and fairly in Hispanic communities.”

Ed Diaz of Hauppauge, N.Y.-based National Commercial Services Inc. is the chair of Broadband Everywhere’s Hispanic Entrepreneurs Task Force.

“In order for the next generation of Hispanic entrepreneurs to realize their dreams, we must ensure that they have access to the latest broadband technologies. Otherwise, they will be operating with one hand tied behind their backs,” Diaz said in a prepared statement.
