Broadstripe Hires Mobile Telecom Exec As New CEO

Broadstripe, a St. Louis-based cable operator, has hired international mobile-telecommunications executive Gustavo Prilick as CEO.

He follows former company chief Bill Shreffler,

who resigned

in late July.

Broadstripe said Prilick has more than 25 years’ experience with telecommunications and technology firms, “where he has consistently demonstrated the ability to drive focus on customer care and capitalize on exciting growth opportunities.”

Broadstripe said Prilick “has contributed to the success of companies such as SunCom Wireless, Millicom International Cellular, CTI, Oracle Corporation, Altos Computer Systems, Hewlett Packard, Apple Computer and IBM. He currently sits on the boards of SunCom Wireless, VoiceVerified, HySky, Open Solutions, and the South America Fund.”

A June 2007 securities filing by SunCom Wireless holdings said Prilick, then age 53, was chief operating officer at Millicom International Cellular from November 1996 to May 2003. The filing said he had been CEO of CTI Movil, a GTE-led wireless communications venture in Argentina, and held management positions at Oracle, Altos, H-P and Apple.

Shreffler, a former Charter operations executive, joined the former Millennium Digital Media in 2006, leading the rebranding effort to Broadstripe.

The company operates cable systems, including in competitive cable markets, with about 110,000 subscribers in four states.
