Comcast Corp. chief operating officer and Comcast Cable Communications Inc. president Stephen B. Burke was named chair of the 2005 National Show, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association said Wednesday.
The NCTA’s 54th annual convention and international exposition will be held April 3-5 at The Moscone Center in San Francisco.
Among changes being implemented by Burke’s steering committee are an early Sunday (April 3) kickoff, allowing for more floor time.
“We’re responding to the feedback of delegates, exhibitors and guests by designing the most efficient and productive experience possible,” Burke said in a prepared statement.
NCTA CEO Robert Sachs added, “Steve Burke’s leadership and management expertise bring excitement and innovation to the National Show. The design of the show -- which is efficient, exciting and charged with energy -- is a reflection of Steve’s approach to business and the NCTA’s desire to provide greater value for attendees, exhibitors and participants.”
