C-COR Inc. said Tuesday that its acquisition of Optinel Systems Inc. is complete.
The deal to purchase the gigabit-Ethernet-transport-product vendor was announced Aug. 30.
C-COR will pay $9.5 million in cash upfront, and Optinel’s owners will receive another $6 million if certain sales objectives are met in the 13 months after the deal closes.
Optinel’s flagship product is its “PLEXiS” gigabit-Ethernet transport gear, available in both dense-wave and course-wave division multiplexing. The platform allows for 1-, 2.5- or 10-gigabit transport on a unidirectional or bidirectional basis.
