C-COR Slips in 2Q


C-COR Inc. Thursday reported its financial results for the second quarter of its 2005 fiscal year, which ended Dec. 24.

The provider of interoperable network solutions for Internet protocol posted net sales of $58.5 million versus $61.5 million in the year-earlier period.

C-COR’s second-quarter net loss was $1.7 million, or 4 cents per share, compared with net income of $29.7 million (78 cents) in the prior-year quarter.

The previous-year period’s results included $21.1 million received on the sale of C-COR’s trade claims against Adelphia Communications Corp. and affiliates that were previously written off, as well as the collection of approximately $1.6 million in delinquent accounts receivable that had previously been fully reserved.
