C-COR.net Corp. said Tuesday that its "CHP Max5000" high-density headend platform has completed all Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers established Hybrid Management Sublayer tests for transmitters and receivers, as well as the "CORE" requirements for HMS indoor-plant equipment.
The company also added the "GigE Max" optical-transport module to the CHP Max5000.
GigE Max provides features and performance optimized specifically for MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) transport between video-on-demand servers and remotely located hubs.
Finally, the vendor said Tuesday that it signed a channel-partner agreement with Adams Global Communications Inc.
Under terms of the deal, Adams -- which provides equipment, materials and supplies to the global cable and wireless industries -- will market C-COR’s broadband-product lines in the U.S. domestic market.
