C-SPAN Looks at Digital Future


The Library of Congress' new "Digital Future" evening lecture series has found a TV home on C-SPAN.

The debut installment of Digital Future, which will air live Monday from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. (EST), will feature blogging expert David Weinberger discussing how blogs work and their value in children's education.

Future speakers will include Brewster Kahle, digital librarian and director and cofounder of the Internet Archive; Brian Cantwell Smith, dean of the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto; David Levy, professor at the Information School of the University of Washington; Lawrence Lessig, professor at Stanford Law School and founder of the Stanford Center for Internet and Society; Edward Ayers, dean of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Virginia; and Neil Gershenfeld, director for the Center of Bits and Atoms at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
