CAB: Ad Sales Up 3%

The Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau reported Thursday that basic-cable networks' ad revenues rose 3 percent in the third quarter and by 0.45 percent for the first nine months of 2003.

The network-cable total for the third quarter alone was $2.58 billion, while its tally for January through September was $7.62 billion, "an all-time high" for the first nine months, the CAB said.

The revenue estimates are based on input from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
