The Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau detailed the sessions it will host at the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s The Cable Show ’07 following the integration of its annual Sales Management Conference into the NCTA confab.
The Cable Show ’07 will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas May 7-9.
As for the CAB, Anheuser Busch CEO August Busch IV will deliver a keynote address Wednesday, May 9, after which he will “discuss emerging advertising technologies, the hunger for highly engaged audiences and the changing desires of the viewer” with: David Zaslav, CEO, Discovery Communications; John Lansing, president, Scripps Networks; Lisa Gersh, president and chief operating officer, Oxygen Media; and Landel Hobbs, COO, Time Warner Cable.
The CAB's annual president's panel Tuesday, May 8, will include Joan Gillman, president, Time Warner Cable Media Sales; Charlie Thurston, president, Comcast Spotlight; Sean Bratches, executive vice president, sales and marketing, ESPN; and Greg D'Alba, COO, sales and marketing, CNN.
CAB CEO Sean Cunningham will give an address Tuesday, May 8, entitled, “Which Screen?: A Reality Check on the Multiplatform Evolution.” That same day, there will be a political-advertising panel including Fred Davis, chairman, Strategic Perception; Billy Farina, senior VP, advertising sales, Cox Communications; Hank Oster, corporate senior VP and general manager, Comcast Spotlight; Kyle Roberts, president, Smartmedia Group; and Simon Rosenberg, president, New Democratic Network.
Wednesday, May 9, will also feature a panel titled “Advanced & Advantaged: Making Money Through New Technologies” and a leadership and motivation panel.
Finally, the CAB will present the 25th annual Cable Advertising Awards Tuesday, May 8.
