The Cable Center will hold a "Cable Mavericks Masters Forum: One Day Degree in Cable" event at The Paley Center for Media in New York on Friday, Oct. 28.
Presented by Motorola Mobility and in partnership with AMC Networks, the full-day program, free for all college students and faculty, features a multi-panel discussion format with some of the industry's top thought leaders.
The event will also be made available for live streaming to students across the country and internationally, and for on-demand playback after the event is complete. It could be a great opportunity to introduce the next generation of media executives to the workings of the cable industry.
The event will feature panel sessions with executives (currently scheduled) including Peter Stern of Time Warner Cable, Bill Abbott of Crown Media Family Networks, Michael Willner of Insight Communications, Bob Zitter of HBO, Nomi Bergman of Bright House Networks, Evan Shapiro of IFC and Sundance Channel, Michael Davies of Embassy Row, Andrew Singer of Broadway Video, Joe Rooney of Cox Communications, Michael Smith of Cooking Channel and many more.
