Many cable networks have added programming to their schedules to celebrate
Black History Month, which begins Saturday.

They include Nickelodeon, which will run a Nick News special called What's
Wrong with Black History Month?
Feb. 23, questioning why there is an
isolated Black History Month.

The network's Maniac Magee movie will address race relations, and
Nickelodeon will also run a series of interstitials called "Black History in the
Making," which will spotlight African-American kids who excel in various
areas.

Hallmark Channel will run award-winning miniseries Roots in six parts
beginning Sunday.

And A&E Network will premiere a Biography on James Baldwin, author
of Go Tell It on the Mountain and other nonfiction works, Feb.
20.
