November proved to be a ratings boondoggle for cable as several cable networks set record viewership marks during the month.
History posted its best November of all time with year-over-year, double digit increases posted in all key demos including Adults 25-54 ( up 29%); Adults 18-34 (47%); and total viewers (up 25%), during the period of Nov. 1-28.
ABC Family recorded its best-ever November viewership among total viewers (1.5 million), adults 18-34 (373,000), adults 18-49 (680,000) and adults 12-34 (543,000), while Bravo bested all of its other November performances among total viewers (947,000) and adults 18-49 (616,000).
Oxygen Media posted double-digit increases across all key demos in prime during the month among its target female 18-34 viewers (up +62%), as well as adults 18-34 (up +59%), women 18-49 (up +31%), adults 18-49 (up +29%) and total viewers (up +21%). Additionally, the network claimed its youngest month ever in prime with a median age of 35.5 years, 8.4 years younger than November 2009.
Investigation Discovery nearly doubled its year-to-year November audience among total viewers (458,000 compared to 243,000 in November 2009) and adults18-49 (189,000 from 100,000 last year), while posting double digit gains among adults 25-54 and key female demos.
Cartoon Network grew its primetime performance in November 2010 among kids 6-11 (545,000, up 7%); kids 2-11 (772,000 up 4%) and kids 9-14 (430,000, up 6%).
