Denver -- Cable Plus Holdings Co., a privately owned
firm that provides cable and telecommunications services to multiple-dwelling-unit
complexes, has hired Daniels & Associates Inc. to seek potential buyers.
Bellevue, Wash.-based Cable Plus has about 93,000
basic-cable subscribers, and it provides about 26,000 telephone lines. Its cable business
generates $41.82 in average monthly revenue per subscriber. Its MDU properties pass
176,000 homes, according to Daniels.
Cable Plus' biggest investor is billionaire
entrepreneur Craig McCaw, who shook up the company's management team last summer,
replacing the chief executive and two other top officers.
John Mansell, who follows the private-cable business for
Paul Kagan Associates Inc., said OpTel Inc., the largest domestic MDU cable operator,
might be interested, along with other cable MSOs.
