Cable Positive Cooks vs. AIDS

Cable Positive will go back to the culinary bookshelf next May to raise
AIDS-project funds.

The organization will release a second edition of Cable Cooks …The Inside
Dish
, a recipe book with contributions from industry luminaries.

More than $31,000 was raised through the original publication of Cable
Cooks
in 1995, which sold more than 4,000 copies.

The second version, like the first, will be compiled by Cable Positive
honorary chairperson Michele James, also president of James & Co.

"The industry's appetite for this book is huge," James said in a prepared
statement. "The first book was a wonderful success on so many levels, and this
edition will be even better with more dishes than before."

James organized Cable Cooks to pay tribute to former Multichannel
News
publisher Joel Berger, who died from complications due to AIDS in
1995.
