The Atlanta chapter of Cable Positive is into art.
The cable industry’s AIDS-service organization raised $12,800to benefit AIDS organizations by selling original works from 24 local artists during its “Positively Art” event Oct. 21 atThe Red Chair in midtown Atlanta.
More than 100 attendees bid on donated works including oil paintings, photography, jewelry, mixed media and home furnishings.
One-half of the proceeds will fund Cable Positive’s AIDS-education programs, while the other half will be donated to AID Atlanta.
“It was an extremely successful event that benefited a critical cause,” said Kevin Kilbride, vice president of sales at Sundance Channel and president of Cable Positive’s Atlanta chapter, in a prepared statement.
