Chicago--NBCUniversal will offer affiliates a summer promotional campaign featuring popular scripted and reality series from Bravo, USA Network, E!, Oxygen and Syfy.
The "Summer Solutions" campaign will offer affiliates a flexible, turn-key summer promotion that will offer access to a number of big-ticket prizes for participation on various levels, according to Brian Hunt, NBCUniversal senior vice president of marketing and TV networks distribution.
To date, 60 systems have signed up for the promotion, which offers affiliates the choice of three participation levels, each with varying levels of spot commitment and prizing. NBCUniversal is offering affiliates such prizes as network-themed-trips; tickets to coveted entertainment and sporting event,s including the Super Bowl; a sports boat, and a SmartCar.
In return, the affiliates have to run a specified number of spots promoting six NBCUniversal-owned cable network series: Bravo's Platinum Hit; E!'s Keeping up with the Kardashains; Oxygen's The Glee Project; Syfy's Alphas; and USA Network's Royal Pains and Necessary Roughness.
