The high school football season will be kicking off soon and shows from local
cable news networks will be providing extensive news and coverage.

CN8, The Comcast Network, will bow its second season of high school football
coverage Sept. 9, with 70 games involving 140 schools in Pennsylvania, New
Jersey and Delaware this fall.

Comcast Varsity Football will air Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 4
p.m. (ET), encompassing games from five regions within those three states.

In addition to regular-season covrerage, CN8 will provide playoff action.
Comcast and CN8 will follow up the football presentations with coverage of
wrestling, hockey and boys and girls basketball from January through March.

For its part, Ohio News Network will start its fourth season of High
School Sport Site
show on Aug. 16.

Ohio's only statewide sports wrap-up show, the program airs on Friday nights
at 11:30 p.m. with coverage of a marquee matchup and repeats on Saturday
mornings at 6:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Continuous scores from across the state are
scrolled on the screen's bottom and also posted at ONNnews.com.

The Fall edition of the show culminates with play-by-play of all six state
championship games.

The program covers the gridiron in the fall, before turning its lens
basketball in the winter and other sports in the
spring.
