Programming aggregation company CableReady will orchestrate the National
Association of Television Programming Executives' annual food drive to benefit
those less fortunate.
The ninth annual NATPE Food Project, which encourages the donation of
leftover food from show booths and parties to local charity organization, will
benefit the Community Food Bank of Las Vegas.
Since the drive's inception, more than 15,000 pounds of quality food have
been donated to local charities in various NATPE convention cities.
'For nearly a decade, the NATPE community has gone out of its way to give
back to our host communities through this worthy endeavor,' said CableReady
president and CEO Gary Lico in a statement.
'Considering the current economic environment, but wary of the distributor
cutbacks, we're hopeful in looking forward to one of the most successful NATPE
food drives ever.'
