Cablevision Systems Corp. said Wednesday that it has completed an Optimum Online speed upgrade and introduced its new “Optimum Online Boost” premium-tier service across all of Long Island, N.Y.
The MSO said Optimum Online’s speed on Long Island is now 15 megabits-per-second downstream and up to 2 mbps upstream, up from 10 mbps downstream and 1 mbps upstream.
Optimum Online Boost -- available for an additional cost of $14.95 per month, or $9.95 for residential customers who also subscribe to the operator’s Optimum Voice voice-over-Internet-protocol service -- provides downstream speeds of 30 mbps and upstream speeds of up to 2 mbps, along with new product features.
