Cablevision Names Brecher SVP Business Affairs

Cablevision Systems has appointed Todd Brecher senior vice president and associate general counsel, business affairs.
In his new position, Brecher will serve as Cablevision's lead attorney on corporate transactions and other corporate development initiatives, including joint ventures and strategic investments. He will report to David Ellen, Cablevision executive vice president and general counsel.
Prior to joining Cablevision, Brecher worked for Time Warner Cable for eight years, most recently as vice president and assistant chief counsel, corporate. In that role he was Time Warner Cable's primary lawyer for all significant mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions, including the purchase with Comcast of Adelphia Communications' cable systems, the spin-off of Time Warner Cable from Time Warner Inc., and the company ‘s investments in Clearwire Communications and Canoe Ventures. Prior to Time Warner cable, Brecher held associate positions at various law firms including Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
