Cablevision Systems Corp. hired William Keith Harper as its new senior vice president, controller and principal accounting officer, taking on the duties of one of three former executives who resigned last month.
In a statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission late Wednesday, Cablevision said Harper will join the company Oct. 18. Chief financial officer Michael Huseby will cease his duties as acting principal accounting officer on that date.
Harper had been a partner in accounting firm KPMG LLP from June 2002-Dec. 31, 2003, and he was a private investor from January until joining Cablevision. Harper was a partner in accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP for about 10 years prior to joining KPMG.
According to the SEC filing, Harper will receive an annual salary of $485,000, and he is entitled to an annual bonus with a target of 60% of his base salary and a possible range of 0%-120% of his annual base.
Harper appears to be assuming the duties of senior VP, controller and acting principal accounting officer Raymond Andersen, who resigned in September. Also resigning during that time were executive VP of development Andrew Rosengard and VP and divisional controller Luigi Cestra.
