Cablevision Systems customers were having trouble accessing e-mail and webmail Friday, and the operator said it was working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
"Cablevision is experiencing technical issues that have resulted in e-mail delays and e-mail access issues for some customers," the company said in a statement issued around 12 p.m. Eastern Friday. "We have located the problem and expect to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers, and we will update this announcement as more information becomes available."
According to a notice posted on Optimum.net, certain sections of Cablevision's portal were also inaccessible.
The company did not provide an estimated time to resolution, or what caused the problems.
Issues with Cablevision's website were previously reported by DSLReports.com.
