Cablevision, Time Warner Extend MSGN

Madison Square Garden Network and FSN New York will stay on Time Warner Cable at least until March 6.

An interim deal reached Wednesday pushed back a Jan. 20 deadline that could have forced the removal of both networks from Time Warner’s 2.3 million New York-area subscribers.

The interim deal is the third between Time Warner and MSG Networks parent Cablevision Systems Corp. in the past four months.

“We expect the issue with Time Warner Cable will be resolved before it has any affect on our customers and fans,” an MSGN spokesman said.
