Camiant Inc. and JacobsRimell are partnering to deliver IMS-based (Internet protocol multimedia subsystem) advanced multimedia IP applications for cable operators.
The two companies aim to provide quality of service on a per-session basis, dynamic bandwidth allocation for applications such as video gaming or voice over IP and pay-as-you-go bandwidth services.
JacobsRimell is providing its “Adaptive Provisioning System,” while Camiant is supplying its “QBUS Multimedia Service Controller.”
In other provisioning news, Sigma Systems Canada Inc. announced the 3.0 release of its service-management platform, which includes automation service enhancements.
And Intellon Corp. said its “HomePlug” technology has been integrated with Motive Inc.’s broadband-management software.
