A batch of notable cable programs, including A&E Network's
Shackelton and its Victoria and Albert miniseries, captured
nominations for Banff Rockie awards Monday afternoon.

A&E's miniseries pair, along with Home Box Office's Band of
Brothers
, qualified for the category in that genre.

Shackelton, starring Kenneth Branagh, premiered earlier this month, while
Victoria debuted last October and had its second run a few weeks ago. HBO
brought Band back for an encore stretch two weeks ago.

Other Banff category nominees include The Human Face with John Cleese
(The Learning Channel/information programs), Six Feet Under
(HBO/continuing series), The True Story of Black Hawk Down (The History
Channel/history programs) and My Louisiana Sky (Showtime/children's
programming).

The Canadian-based Banff Television Foundation hands out the Rockie awards
during its annual TV festival, which draws participants from around the
globe.

This year's festival will take place June 9 through 14.
