Cartoon Network Enterprises Reshuffles

Turner Entertainment Group announced organizational changes to its Cartoon Network Enterprises unit.

Kim McQuilken will add oversight of allCNE licensing and merchandising activity to his current responsibilities, taking on the new title of executive vice president of kids’ advertising sales and marketing and CNE.

McQuilken reports to TEG Sales and Marketing and Turner Sports president David Levy on domestic business and to Turner Broadcasting System Inc. executive VP and general counsel and TBS International president Louise Sams on international consumer-products-licensing matters.

CNE senior VP John Friend will have direct responsibility for Cartoon’s consumer-products-licensing business in the United States and internationally, reporting to McQuilken.

CNE’s creative direction will remain under the direction of Cynthia Rapp, but she will now report to Cartoon senior VP of marketing Dennis Adamovich.

“This is an important step forward for Cartoon Network Enterprises and Cartoon Network, and yet another indication of the strong talent in place throughout our organization,” TEG president Mark Lazarus said in a prepared statement.

“In addition to the changes announced here, Kim and John will continue to build a new team that will further strengthen and grow this important unit,” he added.
