Cartoon Network Renews 5 Series

Time Warner Inc.-owned Cartoon Network, just ahead of Comic-Con International in San Diego, said it ordered new seasons of five series: Adventure Time (season 8), Regular Show (S8), Steven Universe (S3), Uncle Grandpa (S3) and Clarence (S2). Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa Steven Universe and Clarence all originated from the prolific artist-driven Shorts Program at Cartoon Network Studios. Nearly all rank number one in their respective time periods among targeted kids and boys year to date, the network said. Cartoon Network is the top ad-supported for kids ages 6-11, according to the network. Pictured: Adventure Time.

“It’s a banner year for Cartoon Network Studios original productions," chief content officer Rob Sorcher said in a release. "It is particularly gratifying to see shows so creatively forward-thinking also deliver so powerfully with the audience.”
