New York -- CBS Corp. said last week that it signed a
definitive agreement to buy 35 percent of Medscape Inc., which provides health and medical
information on the Internet.
Medscape will get a license to use the CBS trademark and
logo, as well as promotion and branding valued at $150 million over seven years across CBS
broadcast, cable and radio properties.
Infinity Broadcasting Corp., the radio broadcaster
controlled by CBS, gets a share of the investment.
