CBS College Sports, MaxPreps Kick Off High School Slate Friday


CBS College Sports Network and, the leading high school sports Web site, will team up on seven Friday night primetime games this season.

The kickoff begins Sept. 11 at 8 p.m. (ET) with Jefferson City, Mo. visits Fayetteville at Harmon Field in Fayetteville, Ark.

The network's broadcast team for the high school package features play-by-play announcer Ben Holden, analyst Derrick Walker and reporter Steve Spiewak, who serves's national football editor.

The slate will showcase No. 1-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), No. 6-ranked Lowndes (Ga.), No. 20-ranked Highlands (Ky), and No. 24-ranked St. Xavier (Ohio).

In addition to live game action, CBS College Sports Network features a weekly football recruiting studio show, MaxPreps Lemming Report, hosted by Tom Lemming, the expert on college football recruiting and high school talent. The program airs Friday's throughout the season preceding the high school game of the week, and provides fans with an exclusive look at the upcoming generation of college football stars.
