CBS Reups with GoldPocket


GoldPocket Interactive Inc. announced an expansion of its contract with CBS Wednesday that covers the current version of Survivor, plus the debut of interactivity in other CBS shows spanning all genres later this year.

"We look forward to making a bold return to the world of ITV," CBS senior vice president of strategic planning and interactive ventures David Katz said in a prepared statement.

GoldPocket CEO Scott Newnam said the key to the deal is that interactive-TV applications will extend beyond current PC-TV two-screen interactivity and include similar interactive polling, voting and other applications through cable and direct-broadcast satellite set-top boxes.
