The San Francisco law of Coblentz, Patch, Duffy & Bass deepened the expertise of its telecommunications practice, hiring the California Cable & Telecommunications Association’s vice president of law and public policy, Jeffrey Sinsheimer.
Sinsheimer, a 17-year-veteran with the trade association, will start with the law firm on Sept. 4.
The firm represents a variety of companies in telecommunications, including AT&T, Charter Communications, Cox Communications Corp. Echostar Satellite Corp. and Viacom International.
As part of the CCTA lobbying team, Sinsheimer helped negotiate provisions of the state franchising bill that was approved by the legislature in 2006.
