Cedar Point Adds SIP Features

Cedar Point Communications Inc. announced the addition of several Session Initiation Protocol features to its “Safari” product line, which will allow MSOs to provide messaging, interactive voice-response and call-attendant service to consumers.

The new capabilities have been added to the “Safari3 Multimedia Switching System.”

“By implementing SIP ‘triggers’ to support third-party call control, we will allow our customers to provide real differentiators in their service offerings, ranging from day-to-day voice features to fixed-mobile convergence,” Cedar Point, executive vice president of strategy and market development Dave Spears said in a prepared statement.
