Chappelle's Show to WGN


Superstation WGN acquired rights to air Comedy Central’s Chappelle's Show starting this fall.

Chappelle's Show features comedian Dave Chappelle as the host of this cutting-edge sketch-comedy. The first three seasons of the half-hour show were acquired for a two-year run.

Chappelle's Show -- which began airing on Comedy Central in 2003 and is distributed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer -- will begin running on WGN in late fringe, where it will run as part of a late-night comedy block that includes new addition Reno 911!, successful comedies like Scrubs and Becker and newcomerCorner Gas, Canada's No. 1, which debuts on WGN this fall.

"Chappelle's Show, paired withReno 911! on Friday nights, will boost our level of comedy and attract even more young viewers to Superstation WGN's successful late-fringe comedy block" Bill Shaw, general manager of the superstation, said in a prepared statement.
