Charter Communications Inc. is now actively using all of the capabilities of CSG Systems International Inc.’s “CSG Care Express,” the vendor said Tuesday.
CSG said CSG Care Express allows customers to view, manage and pay bills over the Internet and virtually eliminates manual processes carried out by customer-service representatives when taking orders and upgrading services.
Charter is actively using all of the components of Care Express, including “Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment,” “Self-Care,” and “Consolidator,” the newest module, which allows customers to pay bills from their broadband-service provider through their choice of more than 1,500 banks and financial-services Web sites, the vendor added.
“As broadband operators like Charter roll out voice and other advanced services, the ability to serve the customer through a variety of channels becomes critical,” CSG vice president of product management for broadband services Dwayne Ruffin said in a prepared statement.
“Customer self-care is not only a cost-saving measure, it also gives consumers what they want -- an easy way to interact with their provider on their terms,” he added.
