Charter To List on NASDAQ

In a terse statement late Friday, Charter Communications said that it expected to list its shares on the NASDAQ Stock Market on Sept. 14 under the symbol "CHTR."
Charter stock fell from the NASDAQ exchange shortly after its bankruptcy filing last year. Since emerging from bankruptcy in November, the company has made moves to regain its listing on the exchange, most recently adding an 11th member to its board of directors - entertainment lawyer Craig Jacobson - to fulfill its final listing requirement.
Charter shares had been trading on the over the counter bulletin board since December under the symbol "CCMM." At market close on Sept. 9, Charter's when-issued shares were priced at $34 each, down 20 cents or about 1%.
Charter, based in St. Louis, is the fifth largest MSO in the country with about 5 million customers.
