Mitchko will oversee Charter’s network mobile, video and software engineering teams, as well as network architecture, tech policy and emerging technology organizations. She’ll report to Rich DiGeronimo, Charter’s chief product and technology officer, and work out of both Denver and the Stamford, Connecticut headquarters.

"Stephanie's expertise in engineering and technology strategy will be a powerful asset to Charter and we are excited to have her join the team," said DiGeronimo said in a statement. "Her extensive experience and leadership capabilities will help Charter continue to leverage its superior network and technology to deliver customers a transformative connectivity experience.”

Mitchko spent the last five years at ad tech company Cadent, but she previously spent 15 years working for Cablevision, many of those alongside Charter chairman and CEO Tom Rutledge. She was a MCNWonder Woman in 2011.

She left the Bethpage, New York-based cable company in 2014, serving as senior VP of video infrastructure software at the time, about a year before it was acquired by Altice.

Mitchko is credited with developing Cablevision’s pioneering network DVR. And at the time she ankled the cable business, she was considered one of the most respected technology executives in the industry.
