Charter’s Carrington Named WICT RM’s Woman Of Year

The Women in Cable Telecommunications Rocky Mountain Chapter has named nine industry execs who will be honored at its annual Walk of Fame event on May 21, led off by Women Of The Year Kathy Carrington, SVP of corporate services, Charter Communications.

Carrington leads an organization with a diverse set of functions that deliver real estate, supply chain management, corporate fleet services, centralized purchasing and travel management to Charter’s existing 12 key market areas.  She previously served as VP of real estate at Charter, and is late of U S West, Qwest, AT&T Broadband and Comcast.

By category, the other WICT Rocky Mountain Walk Of Fame honorees are:

Woman in Technology:

-Maria Rothschild, director, national video deployment engineering (NVDE), Comcast. At Comcast, Rothschild manages the process engineering teams, tool and software development as well as the project management teams. NVDE managed over 3,000 video product, infrastructure and configuration deployments in 2014. She has also held product management deployment and strategic marketing positions at Media One, Adelphia, and Charter.

Mentor of the Year

-Rich DiGeronimo, executive vice president, product and strategy, Charter.  DiGeronimo leads Charter’s product design, development, and management teams, as well as the corporate strategy and business development organizations. He joined Charter in 2008 as VP, product management via Level 3 Communications, where he was VP and GM of its Cable Markets Group.

Partner of the Industry

-Tom Gorman, president, opXL  LLC.  Founded in 2012, opXL  is a consulting company specializing in operational improvements for service provider organizations.Its partners include Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Charter, Arris, the National Cable Telecommunications Cooperative, Xerox, and Alpha Technologies, among others.  A 39-year industry veteran, Gorman has worked for Prime Cable, Comcast, Jones Intercable, and Charter during his career. Gorman was inducted into the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers Hall of Fame in 2007.

Women to Watch

-Megan Reeder-Holman , vice president of sales & affiliate Marketing, Starz  Entertainment. Reeder-Holman is a 16-year vet of Starz, and previously was the assistant director of high performance for USA Field Hockey.

-Pamela Kelley,  senior director human resources, national customer operations, Comcast. Kelley supports Comcast’s National Customer Operations organization, including National Activation Security and Repair as well as four National Centers of Excellence.

-Angela Peleschka , senior director, credit and collections, Comcast West Division. Peleschka is responsible for over 500 Collection agents, 41 supervisors and 9 managers, and plays an instrumental part in developing and executing on strategies to reduce bad debt while increasing customer retention.

-Cat Reusswig, senior director of Web portals, engineering Web and commerce engineering, Converged Technology Group, Time Warner Cable. Reusswig, who joined TWC in January 2011, focuses on web development, customer user experience, and executing it using agile, test driven development models.

-Kris Shrader, director of outsourcing operations, West Division, Comcast.  Shrader has been with Comcast for 4-1/2 years and with the industry for more than 25, including leadership positions in call center operations for companies such as Transcom/Cloud10, Alpine Access/Sykes, Frontier Airlines and Verizon Wireless.

The 16th annual WICT Rocky Mountain Walk of Fame is set for May 21 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center.
