Charter, 'Self' Partner with TWC on 'SunReady'


Charter Communications Inc. of St. Louis reached more than 3,000 local residents with SunReady sun-safety information from The Weather Channel at a two-day, citywide "Hooked on Health Expo!."

The channel provided free sunscreen, mole-identification cards and sun-safety informational brochures, as well as special photos of attendees to reveal skin damage not visible to the naked eye.

SunReady, originally known as Rays Awareness, won a Beacon Award in the "media" category after its launch in 2001. In SunReady's first-ever affiliation with a magazine, The Weather Channel will join Self magazine’s “Workout in the Park” series, annual health and fitness festivals to be held starting April 30 in Atlanta, New York, Chicago and San Diego.
