Charter Signs Two Carriage Deals

Fox Cable Networks Group announced Tuesday that it has signed a carriage
agreement with Charter Communications Inc. for its new Fox Sports Digital Gold
out-of-market sports package and for Fox Sports World.

The deal also extends a distribution deal for two regional networks, Fox
Sports Net South and FSN Midwest. Earlier this year, Fox came close to pulling
the FSN Midwest signal from Charter's St. Louis system in the midst of a
license-fee-negotiation dispute.

In other Charter programming news, Turner Broadcasting System Inc. said
Tuesday that the MSO would add regional network Turner South in nearly 500,000
homes. The deal brings Turner South carriage to almost 5.5 million
subscribers.

Turner said the channel has gained 70 percent penetration within its markets
in the 18 months since its launch.
