Chicago Tightens Customer-Service Rules

Chicago aldermen unanimously approved a cable-customer bill of rights
Wednesday despite objections by AT&T Broadband, which called the conditions
onerous.

The bill forces AT&T Broadband and RCN Corp. to offer three-hour service
windows six days per week, to issue automatic outage credits and to pay $25
penalties to subscribers for missed appointments.
