A total of 15 members of the Falun Gong religious group in China were
sentenced to four to 20 years in prison Friday for tapping into a cable system to present
viewers with some evidence of human-rights abuses in China, according to the
state-run Xinhua General News Service.
In May, Falun Gong members were arrested for replacing the feed on eight
cable channels with a video that accused the 'Chinese government of staging the
self-immolation of purported Falun Gong members in Tianamen last year,' The
Washington Post reported at the time.
